OUR HISTORY
Eagle's Wings Church was planted by Beechwood Church and our first service was held on April 29, 2007 as Iglesia Alas de Águila. We began the ministry to reach out to the Spanish-speaking community and held services only in Spanish.
In 2009, we sensed the move of God and together with Beechwood Church planted a Spanish-speaking church in Wyoming, Michigan at Lee Street CRC.
In 2011, once again God showed us His desire to continue growing and together with Beechwood Church we planted Iglesia Alas de Águila in Allendale, Michigan.
In 2012, we were given the opportunity to purchase our own building after renting for five years. We have since paid off our mortgage for our building located at 635 Riley Street in Holland.
In 2014, together with Beechwood Church, we planted Alas Conexión (Comunidad Cristiana de Grand Rapids) in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
As time passed by, God began laying it on the heart of the pastor and leadership to open an English-speaking service in Holland to better serve the greater community and to be a bridge between cultures in our city. On April 20, 2014, Eagle's Wings Church held its first service in English.
On January 3, 2016 Eagle's Wings Church/Iglesia Alas de Águila became an organized church within the Reformed Church in America.
